FAQ & STUDIO POLICIES
1. What are Classic Sessions?
Classic Sessions are simply put, a classical approach to portrait photography where the focus is on creating and capturing mood, character, depth, and confidence.
2. What are the Signature Looks?
Typically, most sessions will include an all black look, a casual/denim centric look, and a third mood driven look. With the base looks above, we will build a variety of looks by adding and removing layers, fabric and changing lighting.
This is of course, not a set formula for
all sessions or wardrobe options!
Don't worry, we will build the perfect wardrobe for your session using both my client closet
&
items from your own wardrobe!
3. What is included in the $489 session fee?
Personal Consultation via FB or IG messenger (text based only!)
Professional Hair & Make up
Use of my studio wardrobe & accessories
Expert Embodied Posing & Guidance
A variety of lighting and standard backdrop changes
Live Styling of 3 base looks during the photoshoot

4. How do you decide what I will wear?
After your consultation, I will send you a style survey that requests several things from you: a set of various inspiration photos, a "blank canvas" photo that I will have you take of yourself, your sizes, and all of your style preferences.
Together, we will collaborate through FB or IG to create the perfect wardrobe for your day with me. I encourage you to start going through your own closet and even shop for items you've always wanted to wear!
4b. What styling options do you have?
My studio has been a home for thousands of garments over the years that have been styled from vintage to edgy fashion. I have recently downsized to curate a much more modern approach to portrait photography. My wardrobe does include a small curated collection of formal gowns, a selection of suiting separates in basic colors and cuts, a variety of basic pairings such as sweaters, body suits, skirts, and coats, a rack with bodices and corsets, PLUS a few basic dresses for all occasions.
If you see something on my website that you love, be sure to share that during your consultation and design process!
The idea is to COMBINE items from your wardrobe (or items you choose to purchase) with my styling and additional garments, to create images that are much more personalized than wearing an outfit that may have been worn recently by another client!
5. If I have a credit from your recent Model Call or a Gift Voucher, how does that work?
Your voucher should have a cash value associated to it's receipt or purchase. Your voucher can be applied to any regularly priced session fee and towards any regular priced collection of photographs. Gift Vouchers of any kind cannot be applied to a-la-carte purchases.

6. How do I book my session?

Pay your session/design fee & reserve date
Complete all forms & agreements and submit answers to survey questions!
7. What if I want to add additional looks to my session?
During your consultation we can explore how you want to be photographed and determine if you'd like to add additional fully styled looks to your session for an additional fee per look.
(Limit: 10 total looks)
8. What if I need to reschedule?
All session booked are subject to the reschedule/fees policies in the portrait agreement discussed in the studio policies you will sign upon booking. (available to view below)
Because of the exclusive and very limited nature of
my sessions, any reschedules lose any special offer/discount/promo or any MSP gifted vouchers
and you will be required to pay a new session fee at
the full price to reschedule.
Please note, there are no refunds on any payments made to MSP including session fees and all product purchases.
For all other sessions, MSP allows one reschedule with in a calendar year of booking your session.
ALL SESSION FEES AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
9. How will I see my images?
After your session, we will schedule an online Zoom Reveal and Ordering appointment with in 1-2 weeks of your session.
At that time you will see all of your photographs from your photoshoot and can choose which photographs you would like to purchase.
10. How much are the photographs?
You can purchase your photographs as single digital files for $389 each or in collections starting at $2250. Most clients spend between $3800-$4500 on their portrait sessions. But what you buy is ENTIRELY up to you!
11. Do you offer payments plans or financing?
Getting your dream portrait collection just got a whole lot easier. I offer financing through PayLater via PayPal on all pre-purchased collections as well as in house financing options to spread your payments out over time. If you are interested in financing options let me know during your consultation and I am more than happy to go over all of the details!
12. How do I prepare for my photoshoot?
Don't worry, I am going to walk you through the entire process from start to finish. During our consult I will go over more details with you about how to prepare for your day with me and you will get detailed reminders of everything you need to know!
13. What do I need to bring?
During our consultation we will discuss what you should bring to you session! I ask that you prepare a model bag with essential underpinnings, several pairs of jeans, and other items that we will collaborate on during the design process! Don't worry, I provide follow up email reminders with this information as well as links to purchase items you may not already own but either need or want for your session!
During the final stages of planning your session, you will receive a detailed packing list of all items you will need to bring for the session including the items from your closet!
14: How long do sessions last?
All sessions begin at 10:00 am and we usually wrap up no later than 4:00 pm.
Your day will begin with hair and make up which usually lasts around 2 hours. From there, I will guide you through your wardrobe changes, poses, expressions, backgrounds and lighting.
15: Do you shoot on weekends?
I offer select Saturday's through out the year with a pre-purchase of my BESPOKE ALBUM COLECTION/Complete Collection (plus session fee). To book a Saturday, you will be asked to pay your Session Fee and Complete Collection purchase at the time of booking. There are NO REFUNDS on ANY purchases, even with a cancellation.
What you need to know before booking:
✓ Your session fee is non-refundable from the time of payment
✓ Your session fee DOES NOT include any photographs. Prints and digital files are purchased separately.
✓ This session cannot be purchased for someone else as a gift certificate and is non-transferable to another individual.
✓ All sessions are custom bespoke and as such all sales are FINAL with absolutely NO refunds or exchanges on any product or service.
✓ There are no guests, family, or spouses permitted during your session or reveal and ordering appointments. (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
✓ The ONLY time to view and purchase your photographs is at your Zoom Reveal and Ordering appointment. I do not offer online galleries or second reveal dates. You must have both audio and video capabilities.
✓ If you do not show up for your reveal appointment, there will be a minimum purchase of my Complete Collection ($4850).
✓ If for any reason you become aware that you will be unable to make a purchase at your reveal, I ask that you please reschedule to a time that will be financially better for you. Preparing your portraits and showing them during the reveal take considerable time and as a courtesy I ask that you please reschedule so that I can direct that attention to another client. I appreciate your respect for my studio's time management.
Studio Policies
All clients are required to digitally sign my studio policies at booking.
1. General Studio Guidelines

No Guests Policy:
To maintain the flow and intimacy of your session, guests are not permitted in the studio. This helps keep the focus entirely on you and the experience we’re creating together. (Minors must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of their shoot.) -
Private Studio:
Our studio is private and not open to the public. There are no public facilities available (restrooms are for clients ONLY, so please plan accordingly. -
Communication Requirements:
Clients must personally handle all communications, surveys, and consultations via Facebook, Instagram, or email. This is essential to ensure a personalized experience. (For minors, parents will handle these tasks.) -
Special Needs and Allergies:
Please notify us of any skin or food allergies, sensitivities, or other special needs prior to your session so we can accommodate you properly. -
There are NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES on any session fees or purchased products. Once your session fee is paid, it is non-refundable.
2. Preparing for Your Session

Physical Requirements:
Our sessions are quite physical and can be likened to an intense two-hour yoga workout. You will be holding various poses and balancing your body throughout the session. Additionally, please note that our studio is located on the second floor, accessible by 1.5 flights of stairs. -
Tan Lines, Sunburn, and Self-Tanner:
Avoid sunburns, tan lines, and any kind of self-tanner or spray tan before your session. If you arrive with these, your session will be forfeited, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided. -
Timely Completion of Forms:
All communication, forms, and surveys must be completed at least four weeks before your session. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your session with no refunds or exchanges.
3. Rescheduling and Cancellations

Lateness Policy:
Punctuality is key! If you are more than 15 minutes late, the studio will close, and your session will be forfeited without refunds or reschedules. Rescheduling will require a new session fee and a pre-purchase of the 10-image folio for $2,250. -
Illness/General Reschedules:
If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your session. We allow a one-time reschedule with a minimum 48 hours notice at no additional fee within six months of the original shoot date. -
Overcast and Weather Conditions:
As our studio primarily uses natural light, overcast days may impact your session, potentially requiring rescheduling. -
Inclement Weather:
In cases of severe weather, sessions will be rescheduled to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.
4. Reveal and Purchasing Policies

Reveal and Ordering Appointments:
To keep the focus on you, no guests, friends, relatives, or spouses are allowed during reveal and ordering appointments. (For minors, only one parent or buying party is permitted.) -
Purchasing Photos:
The reveal and ordering appointment is your ONLY opportunity to VIEW and PURCHASE your photographs. If you’re unable to commit to your desired purchase at that time, please let us know to reschedule.-
All purchases made in the studio are final, with no refunds or exchanges.

In case of default on your payment plan, the collection will be forfeited, and only digital images corresponding to the amount paid will be delivered.
